About Me

I started blogging on October 1st 2010, 6 days before I turned 26 and 2 months before moving to Hawaii. I am a newlywed and am married the dashing man of my dreams who also happens to be an Officer in the United States Air Force. We are originally from Florida and met/graduated from the University of Central Florida with B.A.’s in Political Science. In July of 2011 I finished up my M.A. in Political Science from UCF, while living in Hawaii.

The Air Force brought us to San Angelo TX, the day after we got marrried (yes, our honeymoon was spent in a U-haul).  2010 gave me a year in limbo in San Angelo, TX and a ton of time to contemplate the things that are important to me.

I started blogging in order to document my journey towards running a full, 26.2 mile marathon.

Now that I’ve accomplished that goal, I’m focusing on developing my career and enjoying life here in Hawaii.

As of May 2nd, 2012 I’ll be living and volunteering in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I hope to share my travels through writing and photography.

  1. I just read your NEDA blog post on google reader, but it says “page not found” on your blog for it. It was such a well written and moving post and I just wanted to say how brave you are for writing it!

    • Thanks Kara. I actually took it down because I kept thinking about it and felt weird about putting myself out there so much. I saved it though so maybe some time later, I’ll put it back up.

  2. Hey lady! I graduated from UCF too (2007); I had French I with Toni. I’ll have to let Larry know your husband knows him. Which class did he graduate with? He’s actually TDY in San Angelo for a month right now.

Anyway, I’m going to follow your blog, of course. Your interior decorating is divine!

    • Wow, how crazy. Don, (my husband) & I actually met in French class at UCF! We had Mme. Spina – and she was the best professor/matchmaker.

I don’t recall the name of the class Don & Larry were in together but it was the main tech school course that ended in November 2010.
I look forward to following your adventures on your blog – nice to meet you!
